Our Maggie – 1998 – 2014

Dear Tripawd Family,
It is with a very heavy heart that we tell you that Maggie passed away yesterday afternoon. We are so devastated by her loss. She was the most wonderful, amazing, happy, girl you’ll ever know. She was a true inspiration to us and so many who knew her. With all she had been through, she managed to beat cancer, and lived to be 16 years and two months. We had another 4 years and 8 months with her after her diagnosis that we are so grateful for. The Dr’s only gave her 14 months!

If it wasn’t for the support of this wonderful community, we would have had such a harder time through all of this. One thing we learned, never believe what the doctors will tell you. It’s the love and faith that keeps our beloved pets going. She truly was a miracle dog.

We will forever miss her, but we will always carry her in our hearts. She really did have a good and happy life right up until Monday and we knew it was time to let her go. In the end, it wasn’t cancer that took her life, but just being a wonderful old girl. It was time to go.

Love to you all.
Please enjoy this video that Tracy and I put together. It really shows you the wonderful life she had.

xoxo

BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE…..SPLENDID WAY TO CELEBRATE A LIFE WELL LIVED AND A LIFE WELL LOVED!!!!

But boy oh boy, do we cry with you toda…..and yet…we have a little smirk onour face because Maggie crossed over due to old age..we don’t see that very often around here!!!!!! Way to go .aggie….your rules…your terms!

Whether she had sand and mud on her nose, whether she had a pink flower in her hair showing off her pretty collar, or whether she was blissfully enjoying the art of digging as a tripawd…this girl lived life t k the fullest!!!

Such a pretty girl too! I love her bone structure!!!! Strong…gentle…beautiful.

What a happy girl…I love where she is sitting at the edge of the bed just smiling and wagging…tilting her head…what a cutie pie!

I’m going to come back later and go through her older blogs so I c an get to know this majestic girl even better.

And yes, the void will seem unbearable at first and you will feel as though your world stopped. We are all here for you and we understand the depth of bond that we have with our tripawds.
